An extremely challenging and exciting project aimed to:
a. Create a house typology characteristic to Birmingham, to live for Birmingham people, designed by Birmingham architects, built by Birmingham labour with building materials produced in Birmingham and
b. Bring the family living to the city centre.
The competition design will be launched for West Midlands architects to create a new Birmingham house based on new spatial standards. This project was initiated by Birmingham City Council with collaboration of Birmingham City University and BRE. As part of City Design Team I am overlooking the design evolution during the research and competition process.
